CHRT hosts many student interns throughout the year. For students with an interest in health and human services policy, non-profit organizations, and communications, CHRT is an excellent place to learn and grow.
During the summer, CHRT offers a full-time summer internship for University of Michigan students obtaining a master’s degree in public policy (with a focus on health) or a master’s degree in public health (with a focus on policy). Interns are responsible for a variety of assigned projects and research tasks such as health policy and social determinants of health analyses; data analyses; drafting issue briefs, slides for presentations, or stories; and providing ongoing support for policy or research projects.
During the academic year, CHRT offers part-time positions for University of Michigan students with a broad range of interests including business operations, health policy, and communications. CHRT also employs interns from the University of Michigan School of Public Health’s Summer Enrichment Program and Future Public Health Leaders Program.
