Cheryl Pezon joined the Michigan Senate Majority Policy Office as a policy analyst in 2011. Her responsibilities include analysis of legislation referred to the health policy and local government committees, and the appropriations subcommittees for community health and general government.
Prior to her work in the Michigan legislature, Pezon was in a private law practice for 10 years in Jackson, Michigan. She previously worked for the Department of Corrections at the State Prison of Southern Michigan and at the Duane Waters Hospital Egeler facility. She also worked for the Office of Substance Abuse Services in Lansing, Michigan. Pezon graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science and later received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law.
