About CHRT

As Chief of Staff, Michael Telliga is the lead liaison for Senator Moolenaar in his role as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Community Health – the State’s largest single budget. Telliga also oversees all of the Senator’s legislation, media communications, constituent relations, and staff. Prior to joining the Michigan State Senate, Telliga worked for the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Director of Government Affairs and Special Projects, overseeing the legislative and government arena for chamber members.

Raised in Goodrich, Michigan, Telliga earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona. After graduation, Telliga returned to Michigan to work in the Michigan House of Representatives. Later, he also held positions at the Michigan Republican Party and the United States House of Representatives.
